One of our most recent residential projects is a single-family home in Scarborough. This house itself generates the energy needed to run the home annually and costs approximately $300 per year to run.
The home is approximately 1700sqft, which spans three floors (basement, main floor, second floor). The construction boasts a cross-laminated timber construction design provided by Element Five stationed in Quebec which also provided a beautiful natural finish for the inside of the homes itself. Although the material selection was not a part of the Net Zero certification, it was also strongly considered to provide the highest level of indoor air quality for the tenants of the home. By selecting materials and finishing with low VOCs, we were able to provide the client with a healthy atmosphere to raise their family.
